Exciting News and Nutcraker Market!

I have been one very busy person lately around Houston, Texas. Where should I being...

1) Nutcracker Market

On Saturday, I went to the Nutcracker Market with my mom and her friend. I bought tickets for my mom birthday! She was thrilled to have some quality girl time.. The market was very busy and spring with Christmas things. People was pushing and shoving to try sample food and I kept being bump in to. I bought my mom Christmas present from Liz and Nelle. They have some very cute handmade stamp necklace.

After the market, we went to ate at Goode Seafood Company near Kirby and Hwy 59. Man, It was so good that I was filled like a pinata! I order the Fried oyster and mystic flounder with seafood rice. I could not have the rice so I opt to trade for some crab cakes. It is like a hidden jew in Houston.

AND

Today Advanture is Texas Ren Fest with SAYA Group!

I am going to be traveling to Mission, Texas today with a group from St. ANNE'S Catholic Church . Are destination was the Texas Ren Fest!

I am so excited to go.. I been dreaming about those juicy turkey legs(so mouth watering)
I also cant wait to see the Dead Bob Show! It is going to be a epic day! I will try and update this through out the day!

Update:
It was raining when I got there and I lost my party the whole time. People around me was smoking like dragons everywhere I turn. Yah, my asthma was acting up and I did not feel so great!

The turkey leg was super juice just like I remember it from 2 years ago! Some of the lower part of the leg was dry and hard to eat! I did not care!

The dead bob show was alright! I think my lack of hearing today did not make me exciting during the whole show! I left half way..

I got a really cute mask and a tiara from ren fest! They were SUPER cute! I will post pic later on the night.

The people who I drove up to REN FEST asked to leave b/c she was nit feeling so well. She threw up just before I stop in the middle of a drive way! I was stuck in Mingolia for 25 more mins..  I just hope she was ok.
I did take some food togo b/c I did not have time to eat it there..
1) Fried Pickels - too salty and very oil
2) Fried Oysters- too salty and had a veg taste/aftertaste!

I already have my hotel before my check in day! It is SUPER closed to Vista Way! It is in walking distance to check in and check out. I had to asked for a LATE check out time. I looked at Expedia.com when I book the hotel.

I will be arriving by car so, it will help. This will be my longest drive I have ever done by myself. The drive is 16 hours long and that is not counting the pit stops to eat and take a break!

Finals and waiting for training to start

School is almost over in two more days for me. Sorry, I will not be graduating this year with my fellow classmates. I really wish I was but in my heart I will always be Class of 2013!

All paperwork is sign and now I am just waiting to start my job at The Disney Store. I was amazed with the programs they offer for PART TIME  cast members. I am really excited about this! SORRY, I can't tell you about them.

When I was done with paperwork backstage and had to walk onstage to leave the store. I felt like I was transported into a different world. I felt the pride that I would be making magical moment with guest who come into our store.

When I tend to leave from work, I have to be as courted towards the door with a manager. The manager will look in my bag/purse! I think they just want to make sure no cast member will be stealing. I would never steal but that is smart what is Disney is doing!

Disney Store vs. Freedom of fun...

It is all fun and games, if you are a formal cast member! You know what it is like to work at THE DISNEY STORE....

But, some people need to money to make a living! I don't like to stay in one place for too long. I just can't sit still and I need to be doing something. I enjoy driving around in my car but gas is getting to high for my college tail.

In the weekends, I would wound up at Galveston, Texas or Hermann Park in Houston, Texas. It is a quite time for me to read books and enjoy the life that god has given me. But, I need to take care of myself. So, I have taken a job of course part time at The Disney Store. IT IS PART TIME AND NO FULL TIME!!!

This job is to help me with my living and at least for me to do something with my life. I will be given up my Saturdays and/or Sundays. I don't mind given it up at all because I did not have anything to do on those days.

I just hope it does not conflict with my training for the half marathons for the Snow Drop Foundation and my church going. Also, school is going to be out for the summer coming up very soon!  I will have more time to be open for working at The Disney Store.

Also, my old job is not willing to let me go because the parent's partition for me to stay.  I will try and work around my schedule with Disney and the daycare. When school starts back up in fall... I will have to cut the daycare completely. So, It will be my last summer of extreme fun with my students who I seen growing up at the daycare I work at. (THE REASON WHY I AM LEAVING THIS JOB IS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO GIVE ME A SET SCHEDULE AND I AM ALWAYS ON CALL WITH THEM, THE PAY IS LOW BUT I DO ENJOY THE CHILDREN'S MISCHIEF SCHEME EACH DAY! )

I will miss y'all very much! I am still going to be around but not always. Mickey Mouse needs my help at his house and I am willing to help out.  Please don't be mad at your teacher!

Waiting to start and finishing up Sschool...

As days draw near to start work at The Disney Store, I did some background research on working there. This is just from what I hear and I am NOT going to say anything that is out of line...

1) The famous on call! If you are schedule for a shift (they will call you, if you are needed)Basically, You are schedule for the time slot but do not come in until they need back up!

2) You are willing to work on a Saturday and/or  Sunday (maybe all day or just four hours)

3) You will be creating magical moments ( be friendly and always acknowledge the little guest first then the adult guest)

4) when showing a direction to a item, always point with two fingures and smile or show them where the item is at!

5) Please make sure you are in The Disney Look at all times!

6) After completing a conversation with a guest or finishing up a transaction; Make sure you say, "Have a magical day!"
-a lot of The Disney Stores stop say this and it runes the experience at the store  (I am going to try and bring it back to The Disney Store, where I am going to be working at)

or another one that I just found out is...

When starting a conversation maybe say, "How may I turn your pumpkin into a magical carriage!"
-How may I help you shop for something?

I am hopping on one toe and I really can't wait to start to work there! I need to finish homework but my anxiety is building up. I feel like going to Disney World for the first time but I am not!!

I did not get into Disney College Program

Hi guys, I did not get into the Disney College Program. I was kind of bum about it!  I will be reapplying in September of 2013. (this is going to be my fourth time applying)

I did called Disney and asked way I did not get in!

First, they told me a lot of people apply and it is very competitive internship. I can reapply in six month or when the Disney College Program applications are reposed.

If you have a resume and add it to the application... WORST mistake you will make! They will be this and that and that why you did not get in.

Apparently, they look more on the application then the phone interview. If you pick HIGH INTEREST and Moderate INTEREST... This will be your BEST bet or just pick all HIGH INTEREST.

Also, APPLY early and you might get in early or wait a long time (pending).....

Here is my boot letter.... If anybody is wants to know...

Waiting for Disney College Program Response!

I just apply to the Disney College Program Fall 2013 on March 19, 2013. This is going to be my third time applying for this program. ( I HAVE NEVER GOTTEN IN!) I am now waiting for a response back. This is kind of hard for me because I tend to wait and see what happens. That means I forget/push away homework (which I don't recommend) and I am glue to my cell phone 24/7.

You want to know what is the Disney College Program! Just click right here...

http://cp.disneycareers.com/en/default/

The application is online. I recommend to read it very slow and understand what you are getting yourself into.

Then come the web base interview. (I did this the same day I apply)  This has a time limit to see your feelings to different things. BASICALLY, a personality test....

AFTER, the PhOnE iNtErViEw (Mine was on 3/20/13) ..... I recommend study your response before you actually do the interview. Write down your answers and have them ready for the interview. The interview will be in EASTERN Standard time so, be careful about picking your times. This is a hit and miss to getting into the program. Here are a few questions that might asked in the phone interview....

1)      Why do you choose this program?
2)      What contributes can you make as a fellow cast member?
3)      Give me a scenario on an emergency situation, that you remain calm?
4)      Do you mind having a repetitive job?
5)      Describe your previous work experience.
6)      If you are talking to somebody and get interrupted! What would you do?
7)      If you pick only four jobs; they will asked you more to choose more!
8) Do you mind working outdoors?
9) Do you like a slow, mild or a fast pace environment?

Make it relate to your major! Smile during the interview! Dress up if you have to! Tell some jokes to the person who is interviewing you. REMEMBER, the interviewer name also.
